    18-AUG-2018 A one daywork shop on ┬┐Urban floods-way out for Hyderabad city┬┐ is conducted at JNTU on 18.08.2018 for GHMC Engineers. As the Chief Guest of the event Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC spoke on the need for proper diagnosis for the problem of urban flooding for Hyderabad City and out of the box solution for its mitigation. Even though resources are limited but GHMC need to have wholistic approach by phasing the solutions on mitigation.
    06-OCT-2018 Sri M. Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC has directed all the senior officials of the GHMC that the GHMC is having around 2000 kms of roads and must look like mirrors with 100% providing footpaths, pot holes free roads ensuring 100% sanitation, lifting of construction and debris waste in all the areas of the GHMC. The recarpeting of the roads, sanitation works have to be taken in a more appropriate way by creating no compromise zones, no open manhole on the above said issues the Commissioner held a review meeting with the senior officials of the GHMC and HMWS&SB today at GHMC Head Office.
    24-SEP-2018 The Commissioner while interacting with the officials said that till November this type of diseases will affect the health of the citizens hence there is every need to conduct special drives and awareness campaigns as well as to take up fogging, perithriyam spray operations where such communicable diseases are being occurred. Most of thecases have been observed at Hayathnagar, Malakpet, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Rajendranagar, Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Amberpet, Moosapet, Qutbullapur etc., where special care has to be taken to take up the necessary operations and precautionary measures for the convenience of the citizens.
